Our Practice
We handle a wide range of family law matters, including the following:
- Divorce and legal separation: We work closely with husbands and wives dealing with divorce or legal separation. We will prepare and file your Petition or Response, respond to a complaint, resolve issues through negotiation, litigation or trial; and handle post-judgment actions for modification of existing orders.
- Child custody and visitation: We let you know your rights -- and protect your rights -- as a parent. We will help you resolve your issues concerning the custody and visitation of your minor children. We seek solutions that are in your best interests, as well as in the best interests of your children.
- Child support and spousal support: We can give you an estimate of the child or spousal support you can expect based on the State's Guidelines. We can explain to you what factors make a difference in the child or spousal support amount. We'll discuss what income is relevant and what evidence the Court is looking for. We also help you determine whether spousal support (sometimes referred to as alimony) is warranted and, if so, how much the support could be and for how long it will be paid.
- Restraining orders: We represent either side in proceedings involving a request for restraining orders. We will review the facts of your case, prepare the documents to seek or respond to a petition for a restraining order, and appear on your behalf at all proceedings.
